My church sits on the edge of a new cross-town thoroughfare that will soon be completed. It has given us a new flood proof entrance with this sign on the exit side. While it will make driving much more convenient I am sad because there are considerable deer in this area along the creek. I'm sure there will be many that loose their lives by this encroachment of the city on their space. I also miss walking out from night activities and listening to the night sounds and feeling like I was miles from everything and not in the middle of a city. But the sign is beautiful and I hope that each time I leave I will remember to take that peace with me out into the world.

Whew, it took forever...well, okay, just about 15 tries, to get both of these to come up on my blog list. :) I know what you mean about wordpress being superior to blogger. I find myself stuck in between, not wanting to give up Lottabusha, but really liking the wordpress platform.

DeleteYep, blogger just would not let me have two named the same, even with different urls, and I tried a sneaky change with numbers, but it just harrumphed.

DeleteI meant to comment on how beautiful the sign was, and how beautiful the message was. I think these sorts of reminders are good for us, sparingly used, so that when we see them, they do inspire us to action. And perhaps, it will inspire others to watch out for your deer friends as well.
I need those gentle reminders. I've told myself not to get distracted and ignore this sign as I leave each time!
